Purpose

In any of these technical pieces of writing, the purpose for writing the document is very important. The purpose highlights the reason for writing that document and shapes how the document is displayed to the reader. The author must always take this into consideration since is flexible and can change with different documents. Although the purpose may not be explicitly stated, without a clear purpose, the document as a whole may be unclear, and the audience may not know what to expect.
